Brief Write up on Program

Breakfast Prasadam Service by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Kachiguda

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Kachiguda, has been offering selfless service through its Breakfast Prasadam Program at KVK High School, embodying the principle of “Love All, Serve All”. This noble initiative runs six days a week (excluding Sundays, second Saturdays, and holidays), ensuring that the children receive nourishing prasadam every morning. The program operates for approximately 25 days each month, benefitting over 60 children, along with school staff and helpers.

“Service to mankind is service to God.” – Sri Sathya Sai Baba

This guiding philosophy inspires the dedicated Sevadals in their service, offering not just food but also love and care to every child.

Weekly Menu:

The prasadam menu is thoughtfully prepared to provide a healthy and balanced diet for the children, ensuring they start their day with energy and enthusiasm:

~ Pulihora (Tamarind Rice)

~ Tomato Rice

~ Pudina (Mint) Rice

~ Wheat Upma

~ Bombai Rava Upma

Special Thursday Menu:

On Thursdays, the children are served Raagi Malt, a traditional and highly nutritious drink, accompanied by fresh bananas, adding an extra layer of nourishment to their meals.

Sevadal Participation:

The service is made possible by the sincere efforts of four dedicated Sevadals each day—two Sevadals prepare the prasadam, while two Sevadals serve it with immense devotion and love. Their selfless contribution is a true reflection of the teaching:

“Hands that serve are holier than lips that pray.” – Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Impact and Blessings:

This initiative ensures that the children receive essential nutrition, which not only supports their physical well-being but also promotes a positive, energetic learning environment. By addressing their basic nutritional needs, the program nurtures both body and spirit, helping the children grow into healthy, happy, and empowered individuals.

As Sri Sathya Sai Baba said, “The best way to serve God is to love and serve others.” This service is a testament to that teaching, spreading love and compassion through every meal served.

May Swami’s infinite grace continue to bless and inspire this noble endeavours.
