Om Sri Sairam!

We, the residents and devotees of Vidyanagar, Hyderabad, are fortunate and blessed to have been initiated into the service activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation by Bhagawan Himself. In 1967, Bhagawan inaugurated the Hyderabad Sevadal Centre at Vidyanagar, and our members have been actively involved in the seva activities of the city ever since.

In 1972, when the SIVAM complex was built, the Vidyanagar Zone commenced its activities independently. The first convener of the zone was Sri Suryanarayana Chandana. Under his leadership, regular Narayana Seva was performed and a Hanuman temple was constructed in Nagamayya Kunta, a slum in Vidyanagar.

From 1972 to 1985, the zone was led by Sri C. Suryanarayana. During this period, the Samithi expanded its activities to include medical camps, study circles, and gruha bhajans. Smt. Bhanumathi, the first Mahila Service Coordinator of the Samithi, played a key role in these activities.

During the period of 1985 to 1995, the Vidyanagar Samithi experienced significant growth and expansion under the leadership of Sri M. S. Prakasa Sastry garu. The Samithi's activities during this period included:

• Daily Nagar Sankeertans and Daily Bhajans
• Medical camps
• Study Circle meetings with the participation of Dr. Phani Mohan, Dr. K. Raghava Chary, and late Sri A. Venkateswar Rao garu
• Satsangs
• Bala Vikas classes

The guidance and participation of late Sri A. Venkateswar Rao garu, the former District President for Mahboobnagar, Medak, and RangaReddy districts during this period, was also invaluable.

The expansion of the Vidyanagar Samithi during the period of 1985 to 1995 has had a lasting impact on the community. The Samithi's activities continue to benefit the people of Vidyanagar and beyond.

In 1995, Sri J. G. Sastry took over as convener of the Samithi. Under his leadership, the Samithi's activities were expanded to include gram sevas, Sanathana Bhagawatha Samaja programs, and medical camps. On February 10, 1995, Bhagawan blessed all the members of the Vidyanagar Samithi with darshan, sparshan, and sambhashan in Prasanthi Mandir. He also blessed the Silver Padukas of the Samithi.

In 2008, Dr. C. Sai Ram took over as convener of the Samithi and is continuing the guard till now. During this period, boost up has been given to Balavikas, education activities, old age/orphanage sevas besides regular Narayana seva, Grama Seva, Medical camps etc.

During this period of 18 years (from 1990 to 2008), the Samithi was indebted to Sri N. Ramathirtha and Smt. Suguna for giving part of their house, named as “Prasanthi Bhavan”, to conduct the Samithi activities.

With the Divine Grace of Bhagawan, and with the sincere and humble efforts of Sri N. L. Narasimha Murthy garu, an ardent and senior devotee of Bhagawan, we could secure a permanent place for our Samithi activities and named it as “SRI SATHYA SAI SADHANA MANDIRAM” in the year 2011 and inaugurated on 25-10-2011. The stage and ambience is designed by Sri V. S. R. Murthy garu, for whom we are ever thankful. Since 2011, we have been continuing the activities in this Mandiram.

With the Divine Grace of Bhagawan, Nagarsankirthans and Bhajans are taken place daily all the 365 days of the year. Many of the Bhagawan blessed devotees have visited our Sadhana Mandir, gave SATSANGs and enjoyed the presence of Bhagawan in our Mandir. We humbly pray Bhagawan to bless all of us to be instruments of “HIS MISSION” and continue HIS activities with love and in unity.
