With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in a school-level initiative, a pencil is erased to convey the message that wasting time is equivalent to wasting one's life. In addition, college-level students took it upon themselves to protect our environment, participating in an essay writing competition. The subject was well-received by a remarkable number of students across India, with 360,585 students from 7,101 institutions in India participating. Karnataka saw 9,007 students from 260 institutions in the North and 28,087 students from 897 institutions in the South.
Tamil Nadu contributed 1,607 students from 32 institutions in the north and 12,588 students from 141 institutions in the south. Andhra Pradesh, with 3,522 institutions, made the largest contribution, with 148,050 students participating. The state of Telangana saw 1,54,076 students from 2,149 institutions.
In Hyderabad, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organizations, as part of the educational initiative, recognized that across 16 samithies, and 6 samithis, the little flower school bagged the first, second, and third prizes in the school and college levels. The Little Flower School in Koti, Hyderabad, won the first prize in the school level essay writing competition among high school students in English medium.
Similarly, the Little Flower School, Hyderabad, received the second prize for the 10th-grade Telugu medium students, and the third prize was awarded to T. Ashik Reddy.
At the college level, Nrupatunga College student Pandu Vedanti secured the third position in the intermediate first-year category.
