Report on the Grand Sri Vinayaka Chavithi Celebrations
On September 7, 2024, during the auspicious occasion of Sri Vinayaka Chavithi, a grand celebration was held at the Sri Sathya Sai Ashram, Reddy Hills, Bazar Ghat. The event was organized by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samiti, Koti Samiti, and was graced by the divine blessings of Swami.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Smt. Renuka and convener P. Visweswara Sastry. At 12:05 PM, the main puja rituals began under the guidance of Brahmasri Mangalapalli Rama Krishna Sharma.
The elaborate puja involved various rituals such as Pranapratishtha (invocation of life force), Shodashopachara Puja (sixteen-fold worship), and the recitation of the Sri Vara Siddhi Vinayaka Vrata Kalpa. The idol of Lord Ganesha was adorned with turmeric paste and offered various offerings.
Hyderabad District President, Sri A. Malleswara Rao, performed special puja rituals and offered a coconut and floral garland to the deity. The event also included the recitation of the Vinayaka Vrata Katha, which narrates the significance of Lord Ganesha.
The atmosphere was filled with devotion as devotees sang devotional songs (Bhajans) and participated in the collective chanting. The event concluded with the offering of Arati to the Lord.
The organizers, including Smt. Renuka, Smt. Sri Supriya, Master Pranavender, Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi, Sri Challa Malle Lakshmi Reddy, and convener P. Visweswara Sastry, played a pivotal role in making the event a grand success.
As a token of appreciation, Brahmasri Mangalapalli Rama Krishna Sharma was presented with a shawl and Prasad by Sri Rajender, the Ashram Kalpa Convener.
The event concluded with Haarathi to Lord Ganesha and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu, and the distribution of Prasad among the devotees, leaving everyone feeling blessed and spiritually uplifted.
