Brief Write up on Program

Sairam,

Raksha Bandhan

Date:  August 31st, 2023

This festival carries two words in its name, "Raksha" and "Bandhan", which refers to The "Bond of Protection".
Rakhi is the thread that binds two beings in a caring bond for life. It marks a sweet and loving relationship between a brother and a sister.

The customs followed every year on the Raksha Bandhan festival day includes a beautiful celebration where every Mahila places a plate consisting of the holy and charming Rakhi, whole grain rice (Akshatas), Kumkum, Flowers, Sweets, Diya and a Betel Nut before the Lord, in order to ward off negativity and then ties the Rakhi to her brother's wrist and prays Bhagawan to bless her brothers and everyone with HIS Raksha.

This year, too, at 9:30 am this morning, the Hyderabad Mahila Vibhag wholeheartedly thronged Sivam with Rakhis and offered them at HIS lotus feet, with their hearts filled with love. Bhagawan's altar seemed beautiful with all the Rakhis laid and everyone were joyful for the event!

Thanks to all Sai Sisters who were a part of making this event a direct soul to soul connect with our dearest Lord SAIDEVA.

Jai Sairam.
