Varalakshmi Vratam is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Vishnu. Varalakshmi is the one who grants boons (Vara). The Vrata is performed by married women in most of the states.
'Vara Lakshmi Vrata' falls on the Second Friday or the Friday before full moon day or Poornima in the month of Shravan, but here every Friday of shravana month is celebrated...
Married women perform the Vrata for the well being of all the family members and to get progeny. It is said that praying Goddess Lakshmi on this day is equivalent to praying Ashtalaksmi or the eight goddesses of Wealth, Earth, Learning, Love, Fame, Pleasure, Peace, and Strength.
The devotees believe that performing this Vratam with devotion and sincerity will grant them blessings and fulfillment of their wishes.

It's heartening to know that 41 mahilas from 4 samitis from Hyderabad district (Ameerpet, Dilsukhnagar, Mehdipatnam, Prashanthinagar) joined together to perform the Varalakshmi Vratam on the auspicious 4th Friday of Sravana masam. Our district team, samithi incharge and 60 more mahila members also engaged with huge devotion in the event.

The positive energy and vibrations felt during such rituals are often attributed to the collective prayers and focused intent of the participants. It's wonderful to see that everyone could feel the blessings of the Bhagawan during the vratam.

These kinds of celebrations play an important role in fostering a sense of unity, spirituality, and cultural heritage among organisation. It's been very beautiful to see devotees coming together and celebrating with faith and express their devotion. May the blessings of Goddess Sri Sai Lakshmi Maatha continue to shine upon all those who participated and beyond.
