GURU POORNIMA
CELEBRATIONS AT SIVAM ON 21ST JULY 2024,

The auspicious Guru Poornima day commenced with divine early morning prayers of Omkaram and Suprabhatam at 5.00 am followed by Mahanagar sankeerthana.
Kachiguda Samithi was blessed with the first Veda Parayanam in the Sivam mandiram for 30 minutes from 6.30 am to 7.00 am. Various vedic chants like Shri Rudra Namakam, Chamakam 3rd anuvaka, Purusha Suktam, Durga Suktam, Kshama prarthana, Swasthi vachakam and Shanthi mantram were chanted.
The morning program continued with Sri Sathya Sai Vrathalu from 9:30 am to 1.00 pm followed by mangala harathi and mahaprasadam. Couples and individuals from various samithis participated in the Sri Sathya Sai vrathalu which is a devotional pooja dedicated to our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu, showcasing deep devotion to Swami.
Distribution of Swami’s Prasadam, a blessed offering, to all attendees, sharing the spiritual bounty with the community was done.
Mahila devotees were warmly welcomed and honored with sacred Kumkuma, Pasupu and bangles as a mark of reverence and respect.
This morning program was filled with spiritual activities and rituals that honored Guru and was celebrated in the divine abode of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Varu.

The evening session started at 6.00 pm with Vedam chanting by Balvikas children of Kachiguda Samithi. Vedic chants like Ganapathi Prarthana, Ganapathi Atharva Sheersham, Medha Suktam, Kshama Prarthana and Swasti vachakam were chanted. The program continued with Jyothi Prakashanam by esteemed guests.
Smt. M. Sesha Valli Garu, former State Balvikas Faculty, shared several beautiful insights on the signifi cance of Guru Poornima and her divine experiences with Swami.
This was followed by a wonderful skit by Balvikas children titled "Pareeksha" and "Deeksha" which explains the tests given by a guru and sadhana taken by the disciple.
The highlight of the evening was a song dedicated to Sivam, launched by the esteemed devotee Sri C. Rommel Garu, who was very close to Swami. His presence was the perfect complement to the event. The celebrations continued with Bhajans followed by the Divine discourse of our Bhagwan, Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The event concluded with Mangala Harathi and prasadam distribution. The entire day was a beautiful amalgamation of devotion, spirituality and culture honoring Guru Poornima with reverence and love.
