About Samithi

In the chronicles of history, the vibrant tapestry of the Himayatnagar Samiti journey unfolds, weaving a tale of devotion, service, and cultural enrichment. Embarking on this sacred path during 1967, the revered Sri B. S. Varadarajan, a senior devotee, commenced the divine resonance of bhajans from the humble confines of his rented house. His soulful melodies resonated through the hearts of the community, inspiring like-minded souls to follow suit.

Among the devoted trailblazers were Sri RV Subba Rao, Advocate, and Sri VN Gupta, whose fervor for bhajans and cultural activities ignited a spark of unity and purpose. Their collective efforts paved the way for the Samiti to take root, and in 1968, a tapestry of cultural and Seva endeavours began to unfurl.

As if guided by celestial orchestration, the call from Swamy infused the Samiti with renewed vigour and a sense of systematic organization. The vision to create something enduring and impactful led to the construction of the revered Sivam in 1974, a celestial abode that became the epicentre of their activities, cherished by their beloved Swamy.

Amidst this cherished journey, the luminous presence of Late Sri BVL Narsimha Rao stands tall, a beacon of devotion and knowledge. His melodic classes in singing Bhajans and the sacred recitation of Vedas ignited a thirst for spiritual enlightenment in the hearts of the members.

Witnessing the Samiti's exponential growth, the divine hand guided the Samiti to trifurcate, and from this division, Himayatnagar, Gandhi Nagar, and Koti Samitis emerged, each carrying the flame of love and service.

Guided by the divine will, esteemed leaders such as Sri G. Someshwara Rao, Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Sri S. Madhusudan Rao, Sri KK Gupta, and Sri G. Laxminarayana consecutively served as Convenors, providing steadfast leadership to the ever-evolving Samiti.

In the heart of Himayatnagar, two hallowed halls bear witness to countless moments of spiritual awakening and camaraderie. The SATHYA SAI HALL, nestled in the resplendent surroundings of Susheelwadi in Resi of  Sri. R.V. Nagabushana Rao, and the ethereal SRI PREMA SAI HALL, gracing the vicinity of Ashok nagar in the Resi of Smt. Rama Narashimam, have become sanctuaries of peace and harmony.

The rhythmic cadence of daily, weekly, and monthly seva, spiritual, and cultural events flows from these two blessed halls, drawing devotees from near and far. The unyielding support of the gracious hosts and unwavering dedication of Samithi members continue to infuse life into these sacred spaces, fostering a harmonious blend of devotion and community service.

As the baton passes to the present Convenor, B.V. Ramakrishna, the legacy of the Himayatnagar  Samiti continues to blossom, its fragrance spreading far and wide. The echoes of the service and love shall endure through the corridors of time, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts they touch, and the world they serve. United in their purpose, the Samiti remains a guiding light, illuminating the path of love and compassion for all of humanity.
